Caitlyn Whitaker Ms. Lehmann English 1-3 9 December 2018 The Story of Lady Tremaine Once upon a time...There was two sisters who had a bond so strong, nothing could break it. One sister was as beautiful as the day and the other as ugly as the night. Even though their bond was so strong, one of the girls grew jealous of the beautiful sister, and soon that jealousy grew to rage. One night, the ugly sister woke up to a crow tapping at her window, telling her to look out onto the courtyard. As she gazed out the window, she saw her sister, kissing a prince. As she watched her sister, the bond around them broke, and her heart turned as black as her soul. What was once love was now hate. And it was only then, that she realized she could never have what her sister had, love. And if she couldn't have it, then nobody could. When her sister came back to their tower that night, she offered her a drink, which she poisoned and the sister consumed it, not realizing what was inside. Instantly, the poison took hold and started killing the beautiful sister. With her last deep breathe, she whispered, "I'm so sorry" and her head dropped to the ground. The other sister stood over her body and smiled at her glorious triumph. Years later, the ugly sister went by the name Lady Tremaine and She had acquired herself a husband named Mr. Tremaine. It was during that marriage when Lady Tremaine had borne two daughters, Anastasia and Drizella. She loved her daughters very much and wouldn't let anyone or anything come in-between them. One day, Lady Tremaine watched Mr. Tremaine sneak out of the house to join another woman, so she went back to her house, grabbed a knife and waited by the door, hidden in a corner and waited for Mr. Tremaine to return. Hours and hours, she waited until finally, Mr. Tremaine came back. As he opened the door, he saw Lady Tremaine and their eyes connected one last time before she plunged a knife through his heart, as he dropped to the ground. Lady Tremaine said, "if you don't love me or my daughters then you cannot love anyone." Then she turned around, grabbed her daughters, and they left the house and Mr. Tremaine. At her new house, that her and her daughters bought, Lady Tremaine married another man and gained a beautiful stepdaughter, named Ella. Even though Ella was kind and fair, Lady Tremaine instantly hated her. Ella reminded her of her own sister, the one of whom she killed. One day Ella's father grew terribly sick and soon he had passed away. After he died, she made Ella become a slave. Later, in the story she nicknamed Ella, "Cinderella." The End
