The survey found that social media has a positive effect on how teens feel about themselves. Also, that the teens preference for face-to face communication with friends has decreased. Another thing the survey found was that social media causes teens to feel less lonely, more confident, and more connected.This article can be used to show how social media affects the lives of more vulnerable teens. Researchers found that teens who spend more time on screen media spend less time sleeping and lower academic performance than those who spend less time on social media. This information could be useful in a rebuttal because it shows that people who use social media can determine its impact on sleep and school performance. This article has an extensive bibliography and its published in a peer-reviewed research journal.
